Key benefits:

Transmission Protection - Most B&M automatic shifters prevent the transmission from being accidentally shifted into reverse while driving.

Shifting Mechanisms -  There are three types of shifter actions or internal mechanism designs. Ratchet, gate and detent.
Ratchet :  Moving the stick 'ratchets' it to the next gear only - eliminating overshifting.  The stick returns to the original upright position readying it for your next shift.
Gate :  Utilizes a plate with stepped notches that act as stops from gear to gear.  Gates may be horizontal or vertical.
Detent :  Utilizes a spring loadedtab for each gear.  This is designed for positive shifts, not racing.

MegaShifter

The Megashifter is one of B&M's all-time classic designs. One of ther most popular shifters due to it's timeless good looks and high performance ratchet action. And it's ideally suited for most popular universal applications.

Truck Megashifter

The classic MegaShifter design in a configuration that will fit your light truck! All the things you expect in a B&M shifter are right here and ready to install in your truck. The Truck MegaShifter includes a taller base and an adjustable floor mount bracket for proper installation

Console MegaShifter for 1968-1969 Camaro

This B&M MegaShifter is designed to fit the console of a 1968-1969 Chevrolet Camaro. It features full ratchet action performance, a lighted gear position indicator, chrome stick and trigger assembly, and a satin aluminum B&M T-handle. To aid in the performance of your new MegaShifter, A five (5) foot precision B&M shift cable is included with this kit. Shifter Cables

B&M offers several lengths depending on application. The popular 5' length comes with every B&M shifter.

• These are the cables supplied by B&M in all shifters (except Race shifters)
• Properly clearanced to reduce backlash
• .250" outer diameter "long lay" outer jacket

Two lengths available, 5 foot cable is standard for most applications. The 6 foot cable is recommended for Chrysler applications

Replacement shifter cables are available for all Hurst automatic shifters. Additionally, several lengths of cables are available for the Quarter Stick and Pistol Grip shifters. These premium quality cables feature a solid 303 Stainless Steel inner wire core encased within a nylon liner wrapped with helical lay wires and swaged ends for superior strength. The core is lubricated with Teflon prior to assembly and then sealed in a heavy plastic outer casing for a lifetime of durability and smooth operation.
